I can draft this memo for Tallyhaus. Positioning rests on evidence, though, and three required pieces are thin or unconfirmed:
- Customer evidence (required). "Customers love the photo counts" is a summary. I need the actual words: quotes, interview notes or survey answers, each tagged with who said it (for example "owner, single cafe"). The memo cites a line for every claim, and the target segment comes from counting who said what.
- Facts about the alternatives (required). "I think they're expensive and clunky" is unconfirmed. I won't put it in the memo or describe MarketMan or BlueCart as weak without a source. Send what you know with where it came from, such as a pricing page you opened, a lost deal note or a customer quote. I'll also include spreadsheets and doing nothing as alternatives if customers mention them.
- Product facts (required). Beyond photo counts, what does Tallyhaus do? I need features, integrations, pricing model and who uses it today.
On coffee shops versus bakeries: by default I'll derive the segment from the evidence you send and label it "derived". If bakeries show up in the quotes, they'll show up in the counts.
Other defaults: - Proof points: none until you send metrics or logos you can use publicly. Claims that need proof get [ADD: proof] placeholders.
Send these and you'll get the positioning statement, target segment with counts, alternatives, unique attributes with proof, value themes, and gaps.
