I can draft these pitches, but some things need sorting out first. Also, I don't send anything. I save drafts for you to approve one by one, so "send them out Monday" will be your call once the drafts are approved.
What I need: 1. The approved quote (required). "Something like 'reliability matters most'" isn't approved wording. I quote the CEO word for word, so please send the exact quote your CEO has signed off, with their name and title. 2. A fact sheet (required). I have "bus on time index, Madison is top". I need the confirmed details: the index name, release date, how many systems it covers, the data source and period, the key numbers (for example Madison's rate), and a link to the report. Every factual sentence in a pitch has to trace back to one of these lines. 3. Journalist details (required). Each pitch is tailored to the journalist's beat and a recent article: - Priya Raman, Metro Weekly: what's her beat, and a recent article title or link? - Tom Becker: which outlet, what beat, and a recent article? - "Someone at the Times": which Times, and which person? I can't tailor a pitch without a name and beat, so I'll leave this one out until you have both.
Defaults I'll use unless you tell me otherwise: - Embargo: none. If there is one, give me the date, time and time zone; the first pitch would then only ask each journalist to agree to it, and the full figures and quote would follow once they do. - Assets: none offered, unless you send links to charts or a press kit.
Send these and you'll get an angle for each journalist, pitch drafts with word counts, one follow up each, and a fact trace table.
